It is important that families maintain as open a schedule as possible for the duration of drivers training. Too many conflicts can disrupt a smooth and successful driver’s training experience.
Segment 1 requires that all students be at least 14 years and 8 months old by the first day of class. Each student is required to verify their date of birth by bringing a copy of their birth certificate to the first day of class. Parents will be able to send the instructor a photograph verifying the birthdate.

Garrett’s Driving School, LLC is owned and operated by Mr. Garrett, who personally provides all classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. Parents can expect to work directly with him throughout the drivers training process, rather than through a middleman. This level of consistency is difficult to find, as many other programs utilize multiple instructors for classroom teaching and behind-the-wheel sessions.
In addition to teaching drivers training Mr. Garrett also teaches for Kalamazoo Area Tutoring, West Michigan Homeschool Fine Arts and with Spring Arbor University where he serves as an Adjunct Music Professor in Percussion. He is currently working on a Master’s in Music Education from Bowling Green State University.
